If you are lucky enough to have the opportunity to stay longer than 48 hours, there are more things to do in Los Cabos than meets the eye. These are activities for those who prefers more active pursuits in Los Cabos if you do grew tired of lying at the beach under the sun.
Marlin Sportsfishing – if Los Cabos has a national sport, it would be sportsfishing. If you come to Los Cabos for this sole purpose, you can rent a boat here that would include a skipper to help you out. You will also need to get a fishing license before going to the waters. Marlin is the most common catch but you can get others as well.
Play golf – Tourism is the one of the main industry in Los Cabos and most of the larger resorts offer golf packages to guests to nearby golf course. There are at least four golf courses in Los Cabos some of which are within the property line of large resorts.
Go Scuba Diving – Los Cabos is in the south coast of Baja California also known as Baja California Sur. With this, there are several places you can go scuba diving to see Los Cabos’ underwater wildlife. Gears and wetsuits are available for rent from tour companies taking visitors scuba diving. For prices and tours, be sure to shop around.
Swim with the dolphins – either indoor or out in the coast not far from the marina, this should be fun for the whole family. If you prefer to do it there is a company in San Lucas called Cabo Dolphins where you can swim with their dolphins in an indoor pool. Cabo Dolphins is located at the marina in Cabo San Lucas.
Go Whale watching – this is a seasonal activity that only happens between mid-December to Mid-March. There are several companies offering whale-watching in Los Cabos and you can book them through the hotel concierge desk. The whales that migrate to Los Cabos at these times of the year are mostly humpback whales and grey whales.
Rent an ATV – the surrounding land at Los Cabos is mostly dry and desert-like complete with cacti and tumbleweeds. There are also hills around Los Cabos especially around the San Jose area. An ATV is the perfect vehicle to do this very outdoor pursuit to see the inland landscape of Los Cabos.
Horseback-riding at the beach – this is bookable in advance with companies local to Los Cabos through the hotel concierge. Another way of doing this is to just simply hire them right off the beach as some are seen roaming around the beach all day.
Parasailing – if you go to Los Cabos and you see colorful parachutes flying in the blue skies, you are seeing people parasailing. You will see them with a line to a boat below on the ocean navigating where the people in the parachute are going. This would probably be for those with a lot of courage to muster but I’m sure it’s going to be an experience.
Los Cabos has great beaches, restaurants and shops for every visitors. But why not experience Los Cabos by doing active pursuits that will allow you to see and wildlife in both land and sea some of which you can swim with. To most of us, the landscape of Los Cabos is very different from home so why not do this here you would normally not do at home.
