As a Californian, visitors often expect that we would spend a considerable amount of time driving up and down the famed Pacific Coast Highway called Highway 1. Sadly this is not always the case for most of us. The people who often venture to the picturesque part of this highway are those who lives in the towns surrounding it. So I thought, I would rectify this in some small way.
In September, I drove down this famously picturesque highway from Carmel to San Simeon as a personal journey. If you look at the map, this highway may seem difficult to drive because most of the road is dangerously close to the cliff. I later discovered that it is indeed nerve-wracking but it was worth it because I was able to stop along the way to see how beautiful this part of California was. Stopping at several vista points driving down, visitors from all over the world got to see this lovely piece of Californian paradise.
I now encourage you to brave it and venture to the Pacific Coast Highway and take a look for yourself. This trip should be on your bucket list. As for me, this is one place I can check off on mine. Here is my own little presentation of this incredible Californian adventure.
